Presenting Yourself at GSRS and Beyond

Dr. Trish Dove and Kannikha Kolandaivelu will speak about conducting and presenting yourself at conferences, as well as conference dress etiquette.

Writing a Winning Abstract
December 4th, 5-6 pm
Museum of Geosciences
Drew Parent and Khanh To will address abstract guidelines specific to GSRS. We will also hold a writing workshop to people frame their abstracts. Non-GSRS abstracts welcome as well!

Making a Research Poster
January 29th, 5-6 pm
Museums of Geosciences
Dr. John Chermak will speak on how to communicate effectively through a poster presentation. Topics include figures, text, and content layout.

Giving Scientific Talks
February 12th, 5-6 pm
Museum of Geosciences
Dr. Michelle Stocker and Selva Marroquin will give advice on scientific talks in general, and provide tips for giving a great GSRS talk.
